Pattison Outdoor, Nike and the NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto
In the lead-up to the NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto back in February, Nike launched a media-first advertising campaign that had all of Toronto talking when they took over and converted a TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) Streetcar into a shoe-store and mini-museum dubbed the “SNKRS XPRESS”. The streetcar looked like nothing ever done before and generated an enormous amount of television, print, online and social media buzz.
PATTISON Outdoor worked closely with our advertising partners including the creative agency, media buying agency Nike direct and of course the TTC, to pull-off this one-of-kind, head-turning execution. Our Production Services team sourced, printed and installed innovative vinyl to the exterior of the streetcar to create a sense of shiny metal, a critical element of the campaign while inside, the streetcar was completely retrofitted to create a unique experience where riders were treated to the latest Nike shoe offerings and had a peek at historic sneakers from the Nike DNA Vault.
The SNKR XPRESS campaign is just another example of how Out-of-Home and PATTISON Outdoor is transforming the advertising landscape by combining mass awareness, customer engagement and buzzworthy experiential to maximize an advertiser’s brand presence.
