New JayDee AgTech Location Opens In Kindersley

JayDee AgTech held the grand opening this week of its new Kindersley location.

They moved the operation just east of town to a 27 acre site which provides a larger showroom, training facilities and features an expanded shop and parts warehouse plus a new wash bay which is currently being constructed.

Jim Pattison now owns 17 John Deere locations throughout Saskatchewan and says they are pleased with their investment in the ag sector saying they brought the same philosophy that has made their car business successful.

“We knew how the business worked from our car business deals. From the manufactures dealers, the importance of parts, the importance of service and the importance of giving the customer good customer service. We understood all that.”

Pattison continues to expand its John Deere operations in the province with the recent purchase of Shaunavon Industries.

Pattison is also expanding his save-on-foods grocery chain into Saskatchewan with his first store expected to open in Regina in April.

Darrin Didychuk, President of JayDee AgTech says they finalized the deal with the Fritz Brothers late last week .

“The building is relatively new in the last ten to fifteen year’s, it can house a lot of the bigger equipment. We will be continuing to invest, it’s going to be a core facility for us and we will invest further into it as we move forward. We have invested already, before acquiring into the computer systems and wiring and the high speed internet connection.”

He says while the name will change to JayDee AgTech the employees and the great customer will remain the same.

Didychuk adds that it’s a great opportunity and an important addition.

“There is roughly eighteen staff in total so they are all staying were happy to report. So it’s business as usual when we open our doors under JayDee Ag Tech. We are very pleased to have two of the Fritz brothers stay on with us in parts and service to help us out for the first few months of transition and we are very pleased with that. They have a lot of experience and years in that community and were looking forward to working with them in the short term.”
