Recognition Keeps Coming for Radio & Television Stations

Jim Pattison Broadcast Group had another excellent showing at the annual BC Association of Broadcasters Awards Gala on Friday, May 7, 2010 in Victoria, BC. The best in BC radio and television is recognized at the BCAB Annual Conference.

CKPG-TV in Prince George was recognized for their excellence in writing, production and talent with the award for Best Creative (TV) Small/Medium Market for their piece on “RONA”. CJZN-FM in Victoria was recognized for their excellent writing and ability to connect with their community with the award for Best Station ID’s (Radio) Small/Medium Market for “Election ID’s If You Don’t Vote”.

The highlight for the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group was Gerry Siemens, Vice President & General Manager of CJJR-FM and CKPG-FM in Vancouver receiving one of the most prestigious awards - Broadcaster of the Year. This well-deserved award was presented to Gerry in recognition of his achievements over his long broadcast career. Gerry joins a distinguished group of broadcast professionals to have received this honour, including Pattison alumnus Doug Collins (2008), Rod Schween (2006), Ed Bain (2005) and Rick Arnish (1993).
