Overwaitea Food Group Receives International Recognition for Sustainable Seafood Approach

The Overwaitea Food Group (OFG) has been named one of ten global 2010 Seafood Champion finalists. The announcement, made at the 2010 Seafood Summit in Paris, recognizes organizations for leadership in promoting environmentally responsible seafood.
The ten finalists were announced by Seafood Choices, an initiative of SeaWeb, an ocean conservation organization. Seafood Choices established the award to honour industry contributions that demonstrate a commitment to innovation that leads to change.
OFG is the only Canadian company included in the exclusive list of finalists and is being recognized for its approach to an industry-leading sustainable seafood policy that helps customers make better choices for themselves and the oceans.
