Christmas Comes Early for BC Food Banks

On top of the more than $3 million in goods the Overwaitea Food Group (OFG) contributes to BC and Alberta food banks every year, over the holiday season OFG rallied its teams and its supplier partners to help provide additional support to relieve some of the pressure on local food banks.
On December 8 & 9, four local BC food banks welcomed special deliveries – each receiving a semi-trailer of goods. Altogether more than 50 tonnes of much needed food and non-perishable goods was distributed to food banks in Prince George, the Central Okanagan, the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
