Overwaitea Food Group Receives 2009 Power Smart Leader Award

OFG recognized for best-in-class approach to energy management with BC Hydro’s top award
On May 26, the Overwaitea Food Group (OFG) was honoured with a 2009 BC Hydro Power Smart Leader award, making the company part of an elite group of businesses recognized for making energy management a top priority and consistently exceeding energy-savings targets.
This is the fourth time OFG has been recognized by BC Hydro for its comprehensive approach and commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability and energy management. The award is a milestone for OFG’s Green Team, a group of representatives from all across the company, which provides leadership and direction to help promote continuous improvement and raise the bar on OFG’s environmental sustainability efforts.
