Jim Pattison Broadcast Group recognized by Canada’s top Broadcast and Community Service organizations.

Kamloops, BC. Leading Broadcast Industry organizations recently recognized Jim Pattison Broadcast Group stations in Kamloops, Cranbrook, Victoria and Prince George for their outstanding reporting and community service. Collectively, the stations received four BCAB (British Columbia Association of Broadcasters) Awards of Excellence and three BCAB Awards of Merit. CFJC TV Kamloops also won two Regional, two National and two International RTNDA (Radio Television News Directors Association) Awards. The station also received an Honourable mention and longtime News Director Doug Collins was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award from RTNDA.

A number of community organizations also have acknowledged the Company and individual stations for outstanding contributions. Variety International recognized the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group for its work on the Radiothons in Kamloops and Kelowna, and for initiating a new Radiothon on Vancouver Island. CFJC TV Kamloops received a National Award from the M/S Society for a 2007 “Midday” feature promoting the aims of M/S and making the community more aware of the nature of the disorder. MADD Canada (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) recognized the Medicine Hat division of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group for its outstanding coverage and advancement of issues related to MADD Canada’s mission to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.
