OFG Makes Record-Breaking Contribution to BC Children’s Hospital
May 31 and June 1 marked the twenty-first BC Children's Hospital Miracle Weekend, a two-day celebration of Children’s Hospital’s patients, their families, staff and supporters, hosted by Global Television. The live broadcast featured stories from current and past patients. This year, the Overwaitea Food Group (OFG), a long-time supporter of BCCH contributed a record breaking $1.1 million, the largest donation from the Retail sector at the celebration. Store fundraising efforts are directed toward OFG’s $20million pledge to support Child Health BC, an initiative of BC Children’s Hospital bringing healthcare closer to home for kids all across BC.
