100.3 The Q! and The Zone @ 91-3 sweep the Crystal Awards.
Victoria BC, March 7, 2008: On Thursday, March 6th, 100.3 The Q! and The Zone @ 91-3, divisions of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, were honoured nationally at the Radio Marketing Bureau’s (RMB) 43rd Annual Crystal Awards. Since 1965, The Crystal Awards have been the most coveted award in Canadian Broadcasting. Over 500 pieces of audio from radio stations across Canada were submitted for this year’s event held in Toronto, Ontario.
100.3 The Q! and The Zone @ 91-3 won three major awards, an ccomplishment that no radio organization has made in recent history.
The Q! was presented with gold for the “Extreme Dream” campaign and silver for “Q!, Me and Mexico.” The Zone won Bronze for “The Zone’s Big-Ass Money Light.”
The panel of RMB judges based their decisions on creativity, production quality and the overall effectiveness of the message in the advertisements.
We are proud of our entire creative and production team, lead by Ross McIntyre and Sheldon Hovde, now recognized as Canadian leaders in the creation and production of commercial and promotional radio campaigns.
