Two Newly Remodelled Save-On-Foods Stores Open March 17

Energy Efficiencies Equal Annual Energy Usage of 107 Family Homes and
126 New Team Members Join Save-On-Foods Family

On March 17, 2007, Save-On-Foods opened two newly remodelled B.C. stores – one in Vernon and the other in Kamloops. In addition to the high quality products and exceptional customer service that are the standard at Save-On-Foods, these two stores feature energy efficient equipment and processes which reduce energy consumption equal to the annual energy usage of 107 family homes.

Both stores offer convenient food and health solutions including Rapid Chef meals-to-go, health and nutrition information, Nutrition Tours lead by dietitians and an extensive line-up of organic and natural food choices. To support Save-On-Foods’ commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, 126 new team members were hired between both stores.

As a B.C.-based retailer, Save-On-Foods is committed to supporting local growers and producers and carries more than 200 varieties of produce supplied by over 75 growers across B.C. including: Desert Hills Farm in Ashcroft; Shann Sunshine Farms in Merritt; Zimmerman Farm in Pritchard; Interior Vegetable Marketing Association; DeMilles Corn in Salmon Arm; Bella Vista Orchards in Vernon and B.C. Tree Fruit in Kelowna; as well as featuring a strong line-up of 100% Western Canadian Western Family beef from B.C. and Alberta ranchers.
