Fourth Cooper's Foods Store Opens in Kamloops Store to be operated by Kamloops businessman Larry Bertoncini

On February 25, 2007, Kamloops residents were thrilled when the doors of a fourth Cooper’s Foods location opened in Lansdowne Village. The 24,000 square foot store provides customers with a new twist on fresh and a unique décor that depicts the Thompson Okanagan area. This store opening signifies a major milestone in the city’s commitment to the revitalization of downtown Kamloops.

This store is operated by longtime local businessman, Larry Bertoncini, under an independent license agreement with Cooper’s Foods. This unique relationship is a reflection of Cooper’s Foods ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and organizations.

“Our team is very excited to be working in this great new environment, and we are very grateful to the team at Cooper’s Foods for all the help and support they have given us as we worked to open our new store,” said store operator Larry Bertoncini, who previously operated another independent grocery store in this area. “In addition to the team who came to us from our previous location, we are very excited to have added new jobs to the community as well. And we’re really looking forward to showing our new store off to our customers as they come to shop with us,” he added. “We’ve been serving this neighbourhood for years, and we look forward to showing everyone all the great new features and products we now have available.”
