North St. Albert Save-On-Foods Honoured at 2006 Canadian Independent Grocer of the Year Awards
Each year, independent grocery stores from every region in Canada compete for the title of Independent Grocer of the Year in each of the specialty, large, medium and small store categories.
Each store entry is rigorously evaluated for retail excellence and rated on its customer service, staff and department management, store layout, merchandising, creativity, cleanliness and community. The 2006 awards were presented on Monday, October 23, 2006 in Toronto as part of the national Grocery Innovations Conference.
Save-On-Foods in North St. Albert, Alberta won the Bronze award in the Large Store Category against competitors across the country. Carl Ryan, store manager (pictured here, right) was pleased to accept this award on behalf of his team.
