CRTC Grants Approval for Acquisition of Island Radio Ltd.
June 30, 2006 (Kamloops, BC) - Rick Arnish, President, Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Limited Partnership, announced today that the Canadian Radio Television-Telecommunication Commission (CRTC) has approved the application by Jim Pattison Broadcast Group LP to acquire the assets of:
The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group is one of Canada's top ten radio groups with over 11.5 million hours tuned to multiple format choices.
Arnish went on to say, "Now that the approval has been granted, we very much look forward to welcoming Paul Larsen and the entire Island Radio team into the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group. With the closing of the acquisition effective at midnight June 30, 2006, the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group will own and operate 26 radio and 3 television stations in western Canada.
