Chairman's Message

2011 marks a milestone for our company...

It has been 50 years since I first started the company with a $40,000 loan from the Royal Bank of Canada. With the support of General Motors, we opened our first business, a Pontiac Buick Dealership in Vancouver, BC. We sold 25 new cars in the first month and our sales that year were just over $2 million.

Over the last 50 years our company has been built on hard work, integrity, a focus on quality products and services and above all, customer satisfaction. These principles have seen us come through the last three years stronger than we have been at any time in the history of the company. Our company has also been very blessed with many dedicated and hard-working people.

In 2010, the company set records in almost every important measurement we use... and for that we are most grateful. With a strong balance sheet and a growing group of solid operating divisions, our future looks very positive.

I am very grateful to God that I was privileged to be born and raised in Canada, a democratic, free enterprise country — next door to the best neighbour a country could have... the United States of America with its vast opportunities.

I want to thank all of the people who have worked at our company over the years, our suppliers, and our boss — OUR CUSTOMERS — for getting us where we are today. We are looking forward to a very good year in 2011.
