The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group
The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group is proud to be one of Canada’s premier radio and television companies. The Group combines over 90 years of broadcasting expertise with Total Team Involvement as it builds a reputation as a committed broadcaster serving the needs of listeners, viewers, advertisers and communities throughout the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
With the acquisition of nine radio licences in Edmonton, Prince Albert, North Battleford and Meadow Lake, and launch of a second Calgary station, the Broadcast Group now operates 40 FM, 2 AM radio stations and three independent television stations, growing its footprint as the country’s largest private, western-based radio and television company.
One of the keys to the Broadcast Group’s success is a commitment to Total Team Involvement or “TTI”, as stations are given responsibility to create, develop and implement best practices in programming. “TTI” is the mantra across the Group, empowering each team to ensure that they are truly meeting the needs of the communities they proudly serve. The Six Guiding Principles of Trust, Integrity, Quality, Innovation, Commitment and Customer Service assist each team member as they contribute to a fun, challenging, and opportunity-filled work environment.
The radio division programs “top rated” formats include Hot AC (Adult Contemporary), AAA (Adult Album Alternative), Country, Top 40, Classic/Adult Rock and Soft Vocals. The 3 television stations air “local” news and information programming combined with a powerful syndicated line-up of highly rated shows thanks to a long-term programming supply agreement with Rogers Broadcasting Ltd.’s “City” television.
Community & Awards
From its head office in Kamloops, BC to small markets like Drayton Valley and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta through to the major markets of Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg, the Broadcast Group’s stations are all about community. The Group is dedicated to its radio/television stations being the “eyes and ears” of the cities it serves, with a commitment to contribute to the success of hundreds of community events. The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group is very proud to have donated over $15 million of airtime in 2013. Whether it was Operation Christmas Child, McDonald’s McHappy Day, Tim Horton’s Camp Day, Salvation Army, Easter Seal’s 24 Hour Relay, BC Children’s Hospital, Terry Fox Foundation or Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Group’s radio and television stations were at the forefront of numerous charity and event activities, working together for the betterment of its communities.

Through fun, easy-to-navigate interactive websites, the Group reaches out to listeners with contests, Insider Clubs, polls, and horoscopes.
