Our Toyota Brand representation grew in 2007 with the addition of Jim Pattison Toyota – Downtown, currently the only franchised dealership in the downtown core of Vancouver. Our five dealerships now account for over 22% of the new Toyota vehicle sales in British Columbia. Again, in 2007, Toyota represented the greatest source of growth for Jim Pattison Auto Group, with outstanding results from all locations as Toyota has proven to be the global leader in overall quality, reliability and value. With a full year of operation in the new North Surrey Auto Mall, Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey’s sales growth reflects a gain of 30% from their spectacular new facility. 2008 will see the introduction of the all new Toyota Sequoia full size sport utility vehicle, the all new Corolla, and the ultra sporty new Matrix! With Toyota’s proven track record, we expect 2008 to be another record year.
2007 was a record-setting year in Canada for Lexus and for both of our Lexus franchises. With market share more than twice the national average, overall results exceeded expectations. Jim Pattison Lexus – Northshore experienced its strongest year over year improvement as new Lexus sales increased 38%. Lexus continues to be the Luxury Hybrid leader with the introduction of the 2008 LS 600H, the first ultra luxury hybrid sedan in the market. With outstanding products and unswerving attention to Customer Satisfaction, we expect 2008 to be another great year for Lexus.
Jim Pattison Auto Group is Western Canada’s Largest Volvo Retailer with four franchise dealerships in British Columbia, making up 67% of the dealer representation in the province. We are well-positioned throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and on Vancouver Island, with the newest facilities, to capture a greater share of the growing premium vehicle segments in our markets. With the recent introduction of the sporty C30 and the totally redesigned XC70 and V70 wagons, we are looking forward to the future growth of this brand.
2007 saw the Hyundai brand expand at a rapid pace, with vehicle sales growth of 7.1%, outperforming the industry in Canada which grew just over 2.4% compared to 2006. The launch of the exciting Veracruz luxury sport utility has taken Hyundai into an important new market segment, with additional all-new products arriving in early 2008 to further strengthen this franchise going forward. The Jim Pattison Auto Group continues to be Hyundai’s #1 Retailer in Western Canada, with four dealerships strategically located to serve our growing customer base.
Jim Pattison Chrysler Jeep Dodge expanded its presence in the Surrey market, relocating to the North Surrey Auto Mall in November 2007. This prominent location and impressive new state of the art 34,000 square foot facility, offering large customer lounges, computer work stations, a covered express service area and BC’s only Mopar Speed Shop, will position this operation for solid growth in 2008 and beyond. As a Five Star dealership, exceptional customer service and the pursuit of excellence are what drive our trained staff to deliver Customer Satisfaction. With one of the most exciting line-ups in the industry and 9 new models landing in 2008, the “New Chrysler” and its management team are assisting dealers to increase brand awareness and market share with their focus on fuel efficient SUV and cross-over vehicles. The future is a bright one for Chrysler.
Jim Pattison Suzuki – Burnaby, serving New Westminster, Burnaby and East Vancouver is Jim Pattison Auto Group’s newest brand. Opened in June 2007, this new Suzuki SuperCentre dealership concept combines Automobiles, Motorcycles, ATV, portable Marine Outboards and an expansive Accessory Centre into one comprehensive operation. Suzuki has been one of the fastest growing vehicle franchises in Canada, posting a 7.6% increase in year over year sales in 2007. Suzuki currently offers two passenger car and three sport utility models and will introduce its first compact truck to the automobile market in 2008. With a Suzuki line-up of over 57 motorcycle and 23 ATV models, we are able to offer the riding enthusiast a broad range of choices from Quads and Scooters, to Competition, Off-Road, Street and Cruiser models.

Now with three exclusive pre-owned vehicle sales operations in place, including Victoria, North Vancouver and Langley, Jim Pattison Auto Group has increased its used car business and presence in these three very competitive markets in 2007. Cars Unlimited has focused on strategic Vancouver used cars inventories suited to the demographics and needs of the individual markets in which we operate. Through our franchise dealership affiliation, we are able to provide our customers with access to over 1,000 used vehicles of all makes and models. The Drive for Growth
Our focus on operations drove retail vehicle sales to new heights in 2007, up 15% year-over-year to 12,700 units. As we continue to break new sales records and with the recent acquisition of Downtown Toyota, our new franchises and our new facilities, Jim Pattison Auto Group delivered it’s ninth consecutive year of growth in 2007. Looking forward to 2008, construction of a new, technologically advanced facility will be underway for our Metro Toyota Duncan dealership, an image upgrade and expansion of our Jim Pattison Hyundai operation in Nanaimo will be completed and we will continue our pursuit of new franchise and acquisition opportunities as we continue our Drive for Growth!
